Pre-filling the coolant is less important than getting it out (so it doesn't make a mess) before you start removing modules but some people choose to do it. The basic tools needed are the rapidmate connector and a stick pump. You won't get all of the bubbles out but you can minimize the quantity of G48 you need to pour into the reservoir during the coolant air purge routine in the next step. You shouldn't have any leaks inside the pack because you pressure tested the coolant system before you closed up.
